What We Do
We partner with the merchandising teams and senior management to help them understand what happened, why it happened, and what they can do to influence what is going to happen.
What You’ll Do
As a Financial Analyst on the Marketing Financial Planning and Analysis team (FP&A), you’ll partner with the Marketing and Loyalty teams to develop detailed reporting and insightful analysis to drive performance across our retail banners.
Responsibilities
Develop an understanding of performance drivers within the Marketing P&L
Provide accurate and insightful reporting on operational expenses and other direct accountabilities within the Marketing and Loyalty business
Build financial models to produce and support the annual budget and monthly forecasts for Marketing operating expenses
Develop financial models (P&L) to facilitate performance reporting and performance management
Monitor results against budget/forecast and communicate variances to assist decision making at various levels within the organization
Clearly communicate findings and recommendations at various levels within the organization, to assist decision makers in meeting financial goals
Participate as a subject matter expert in special projects
Who We’re Looking For
You can critically think through business problems, and can see the ‘big picture’ in a complex business environment
You are a self-starter with exceptional work ethic, time management and self-management skills
You have a proven ability to effectively communicate and present financial information to non-finance business partners, including senior management
You have strong analytical and problem solving skills
Education and Experience
University degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting or business related field
2 to 3 years of experience in a relevant role
Professional financial designation is considered an asset (CPA, CMA, CA, CFA)
Technical Requirements
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
Experience using HFM and Smartview to pull P&L information
Ability to visualize findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
Experience creating clear and concise decks for senior audiences
